Tiffany Chao is an entertainment and music industry professional from Brooklyn, NY, with experience spanning across publicity, production, music management and booking, social media and marketing. She currently works in public relations at Nickelodeon and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
At Nickelodeon, Chao works across corporate communications and programming publicity for live-action, animation and preschool content. Chao has co-led many publicity campaigns including Blue’s Clues 25th Anniversary; the NFL Wild Card Game on Nickelodeon, the first-ever NFL telecast produced for kids and family in partnership with CBS Sports; and the annual Kids’ Choice Awards, writing press materials, managing credentialing, ticketing, tip sheet edits, press check-in and more. She has led many off-channel events and publicity campaigns for key live-action priorities including: Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2023, That Girl Lay Lay, Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan, The Really Loud House, iCarly, Zoey 102, Good Burger 2 and more.
Prior to her current job, Chao worked in talent publicity for high-profile clients at ID-PR and freelanced in the script department for several award shows including the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2018, 2017 Black Girls Rock Awards on BET, 2017 GRAMMY Salute to Music Legends and 2017 NBA Awards. Additionally, she freelanced sports games for YES Network for the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets. Chao was also a freelance concert photographer, production assistant intern at NBCUniversal’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and a publicity educational temp at Republic Records.
Recently named a “Rising Star in PR” by Business Insider and “15 Under 35” by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Chao has also received a New York State Senate Citation for Community Service and the PRSA Foundation's Multicultural and Diversity Scholarship. She is also a member of the Television Academy and the New York and Los Angeles Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing Communications and a minor in sociology in 2017 at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
When Chao is not working, she enjoys traveling locally and globally, hanging out with her family and friends, exploring the city, and expressing her creativity in different ways.
